I’ve always been fascinated by heroes—the way they rise against impossible odds to create impact beyond themselves. Whether it’s Superman and Lois Lane, the Avengers, or the brotherhood I experienced as a Navy SEAL, I’ve seen firsthand how teams, not just individuals, create extraordinary results.

Growing up in a small farm town in the Midwest, I could never have imagined the epic leadership journey I would experience—from graduating fifth in my class at the Naval Academy, to serving 17 years as a Navy SEAL with 13 deployments, leading the nation’s premier assault force in combat zones, and later guiding peak performers in the NFL, Fortune 500 executives, and cultural entrepreneurs.

Along the way, I’ve earned two Bronze Stars for valor and multiple service medals. But my proudest role? Being a husband to my wife, Julia, and a father to our four children. I’ve learned that true leadership happens not just in the boardroom but in every corner of life where people rely on you.

The greatest lesson I’ve learned? Leadership isn’t just about strategy—it’s about who you become in the process. And often, the perfect guide appears at the moment you need it most.
